Bounty customers can authorize Google Analytics and choose which accessible GA4 properties belong to their Bounty organization. The native connection currently covers OAuth, credential storage, property discovery, and property selection.
The native GA4 connection does not yet power Bounty reporting queries. Reporting remains dependent on the data paths activated for the customer.

What the current connection does

The current connection can:
  • Start Google OAuth from the authenticated Bounty Connections page.
  • Request read-only Google Analytics access.
  • Exchange the authorization code on Bounty’s server.
  • Store the access and refresh credential in encrypted Supabase Vault storage.
  • Discover GA4 properties available to the authorizing Google user.
  • Let the user select one or more properties.
  • Save those selections as organization-scoped direct-query connection records.
  • Disconnect the credential and native selections from Bounty.
The connection is read-only. It does not change Google Analytics configuration, events, audiences, or properties, and its native selections are not yet consumed by Bounty reporting queries.

Connection workflow

  1. Open Connections in Bounty and select Connect Google Analytics.
  2. Review Bounty’s disclosure describing the requested data, AI processing, and organization isolation.
  3. Select Continue to Google.
  4. Review Google’s consent screen and authorize read-only Google Analytics access.
  5. Google returns the authorization code to Bounty’s server callback.
  6. Bounty stores the credential in Vault and lists GA4 properties available to the Google user.
  7. Select the properties to associate with the current Bounty organization.
  8. Bounty saves the selected property identifiers and shows Google Analytics as connected.
Bounty never receives the user’s Google password. Credentials remain server-side after authorization.

Data requested and intended use

The read-only Google Analytics scope can provide access to property metadata and reporting data. The native flow initially uses it to discover property identifiers and names for selection. When Bounty activates a data workflow using the selected connection, it may process GA4 dimensions, metrics, website activity, acquisition data, and conversion reporting to provide customer-requested reporting, analysis, recommendations, and automation. Completing OAuth alone does not imply that native reporting is active.

AI use and model isolation

Bounty may use de-identified Google-derived data with OpenAI and Anthropic as contracted processors to produce customer-visible Bounty features. Bounty does not allow those providers to train their general models with submitted customer data. Google-derived data may personalize a model only for the authorizing Bounty organization. It keeps organization provenance and is never pooled, commingled, or used for generalized, foundational, or cross-customer model training.

Disconnect and delete

Use Disconnect Google Analytics on the Bounty Connections page to remove the organization’s native GA4 credential and property selections. You can also revoke Bounty through your Google Account permissions. To request deletion of previously processed Google-derived data, contact Bounty under the Privacy Policy. Deleted data is removed from future training inputs and any affected customer-specific model is deleted or rebuilt.
